Mark grew up in Vermont’s Green Mountains and spent his boyhood playing in the forest surrounding his home. From the time he was 16 he worked summers at a local sawmill, and eventually worked his way up to the position of head sawyer.
After graduating from Florida Tech with a degree in Aviation Management he served in the Army. When he returned home to Vermont, he started his own sawmill business. Harvesting responsibly is a philosophy for Mark. He has over 20 years experience, milling high quality lumber, and building hand crafted and timber framed homes.
Mark also runs Meadowdale Farms, his own sustainable, pasture based farm, raising grass-fed beef, pastured poultry, turkeys, and pork products. His focus is on humanely raising a high quality product while respecting and preserving his working landscape.
